Fraunhofer IAF is developing infrared sensors with high spatial and thermal resolution for military and civil use.

Our innovative infrared detectors such as InAs/GaSb short-period superlattices (SLs) or quantum well infrared photodetectors (QWIPs) are developed for 2nd and 3rd generation infrared cameras in the 3-5 µm (Mid Wavelength Infrared, MWIR) and the 8-12 µm (Long Wavelength Infrared, LWIR) spectral region. |
